Beyond the Classroom

Where Learning Meets Adventure

The SEA-Teacher Project is not only about learning in the school. With the program, I was given a chance to explore the beauty of Khon Kaen and be immersed with its rich culture. Come with me as I make the most out of my trip in Thailand! ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

Mo Din Daeng Shrine

Mo Din Daeng Shrine is a shrine located just within the Khon Kaen University. It can be found near the second gate of the university, few meters away from the Demonstration School of KKU (Mo Din Daeng). This shrine is where the people in the area, especially the students, usually do their prayers.

This place is actually the first shrine I saw in Thailand so this one is quite memorable for me. The simplicity and beauty of the shrine captured my heart.

Wat Nong Wang Temple

Phra Mahathat Kaen Nakhon, also known as Wat Nong Wang (วัดหนองแวง) is the biggest temple famous in Khon Kaen City. It is a Thai royal temple with 9 astonishing floors, located close to Kaen Nakhon marsh on Klangmuang Road, Muang District.

I enjoyed visiting this one a lot because of the breathtaking appearance of this temple. Both the inside and outside of it were astonishing. I was even able to try lighting a candle flower!

Trip to Khon Kaen Zoo!

On February 14th, we joined the camping of the primary students at Khon Kaen Zoo, where we watched the student scouts’ performances. All the participants, except for one who was assigned at that particular primary school, then stayed at a rented house for a night. In the morning of February 15th, we were toured by Teacher Pratt, one of the primary teachers, around the Khon Kaen Zoo.
